The sources of my creative inspiration spring from nature, child-like curiosity, and self-directed projects. Color, shape, flow, and content impact me. Whether it’s the organic impressions of Mother Nature or the youthful activity of book-coloring, art is my healer when words aren’t enough.
My Psychedelic Guitar (Coloring book exercise), Spring 2017.
Music and sound are great modes of self-expression and healing. This was fun, creative, and a great way to channel nervous energy.
Daffodils and Day Lilies, Spring and Summer 2017.
Capturing the amazing beauty of nature in full bloom. Metaphorical, beautiful, and inspirational.
DIY Accent Art and Coasters, August 2017.
I researched DIY projects and completed these pieces. They are alcohol ink tiles, sealed and made into table coasters and accent/wall art. I spray-painted the gold frames and mounted the tiling. They were gifts for family members.
Space Rocket Mosaic, Fall 2017-Summer 2018.
A self-directed, fun gift project. The hand-sketch was inspired by a painting on Pinterest. I transferred it to an 11″ x 14″ wood plaque, tiled, grouted, painted and prepped it for display.
